What if my dog ignores new toys?
Start with a scent they already enjoy. Let them watch you place a familiar dry treat in an open pocket, then keep the arms flat for an easy first find. The included First-Play Cheat Sheet walks you through it. Every dog has preferences, so introduce the game at their pace.
My dog solves puzzles fast. Can I make it more interesting?
Yes. Move the treats to different pockets, change the folds or add a loose tie between opposite arms. Change one thing at a time. The Easy-to-Clever Setup Cards help you build the challenge without making it frustrating.
My dog destroys toys. Is this right for them?
Dogtopus is for supervised sniffing, searching and pulling, rather than prolonged chewing. It is not indestructible. If your dog tears or swallows fabric, choose a different activity. Inspect it before play and put it away when the treats are gone.
What food goes in it? Do I need special treats?
Use their usual dry kibble or small dry treats that fit comfortably in the individual arm pockets. There is no central food chamber to fill. Count the rewards as part of their normal daily food allowance.
Is it machine washable? What if it loses its shape?
Yes. Remove all food, untie the arms and use a gentle machine cycle with mild detergent in a laundry bag. Air dry fully. Avoid hot washes and tumble drying. Loss of usable shape after correct washing is covered by our 30-Day Play & Replace Promise.
Will it suit a puppy, senior or small dog?
Match the setup to the individual dog. Open pockets make an easier introduction, while folds and loose ties add challenge. Supervise every session. It is not suitable for a dog who tears off or swallows fabric pieces.
How long will it keep my dog busy?
Every dog plays differently. Start with an easy setup, then change the pockets and folds as they learn. Stop while the game is still enjoyable. Use it alongside walks, training, rest and time together.

Loss of usable shape after correct washing is covered. Remove damaged toys immediately. Loss, hot washing, tumble drying and use outside the care instructions are excluded.
Do the flexible openings clean teeth?
The slit openings flex as your dog retrieves food. We do not have product-specific evidence that this cleans teeth, removes plaque or treats gum problems. Keep toothbrushing and your vet’s dental advice as part of their daily care.
